Upcoming rapper Young Dylan made an unusual appearance on an NFL broadcast: he interviewed the football stars after the game. And did it so well that many fans want more of it.

Dylan Gilmer may only be twelve years old, but he’s already a small star among US teenagers: he stars in the series “Young Dylan” and also appears as a rapper under the same name. Now Gilmer also had his first appearance as a television reporter. He was allowed to interview the players at the game in the US professional football league NFL between the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys.

Admittedly, the up-and-coming rapper didn’t necessarily follow the rule that the interviewee and the topic should be in the foreground and not the interviewer himself. He did his job with so much wit and enthusiasm that not only young viewers enjoyed it.

Fans are raving about actor and rapper Dylan Gilmer

49ers player Deebo Samuel couldn’t help but smile when asked by Gilmer about his strong performance. The wide receiver contributed a touchdown and 100 yards to his team’s 23-17 win. Young Dylan asked him about the different roles he’d played in and what went through his mind once it was clear his team was going to win.

Not particularly deep questions, but the young interviewer still won the hearts of the audience. It’s nice to see a football star talking to someone different than usual, wrote one journalist. Many fans on Twitter were also impressed by the performance. “The boy did a great job, he has a great future ahead of him,” praised one user. “I want to see more interviews from him,” wished another fan. So nothing stands in the way of Dylan Gilmer’s next appearance as a football reporter.
