Video: Thai naval ship sunk in storm

STORY: A Thai Navy ship sank in a storm in the Gulf of Thailand on Sunday. There were over 100 crew members on board. With a complex rescue operation, however, a large part of the team was brought to safety. However, there are still many missing. Relatives of marines who have still not been found raise serious allegations. Because shortly before the sinking, they were still in contact via mobile phone: “My nephew said that he didn’t get a life jacket. That’s unbelievable. Life jackets are always needed for everyone at sea. There should be appropriate safety standards and emergency plans. Because even if you’re floating in the sea with a life jacket in this storm, do you think you can survive that?” The incident happened about 37 kilometers offshore. The corvette, made in the USA, was on a control trip when it was hit by high waves. As a result, water had entered and there was a power failure, causing the main engine to stop working. The ship had been in service since 1987 and was equipped, among other things, for air defense and anti-submarine warfare.
