Eminem is releasing a new album. The rapper announced this with a trailer on Instagram. It should be released in the summer.

Eminem (51) is back with new music. The rapper’s twelfth album entitled “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce)” is scheduled to be released this summer. He announced this himself with a small trailer in the style of a true crime documentary posted on Instagram.

Album announced with true crime trailer

The approximately 30-second clip begins with a fictional reporter reporting on the murder of Eminem’s alter ego Slim Shady: “With his complex and often criticized tongue-twisting rhymes, the blonde anti-hero Slim Shady has made many enemies.”

Fellow rapper 50 Cent (48) also has his say in the trailer: “He’s not a friend, he’s a psychopath.” The reporter goes on to announce: “Join us as we recreate the events that led to Slim Shady’s murder.” Eminem himself also makes a brief appearance in the clip: “I knew it was only a matter of time for Slim.”

Eminem allowed himself an April Fool’s joke on his new album

However, there is no exact date for the album release yet. It wasn’t until the beginning of the month that the Grammy winner allowed himself an April Fool’s joke. He released on April 1st Video on Instagram, which announced the immediate release of a new album, but it never came out. However, it was not immediately obvious that this was a joke. Because in March Dr. Dre (59) in the US talk show “Jimmy Kimmel live!” revealed that Eminem is working on his new album, which should be released “this year”.

Fans have been waiting for new music from Eminem for a long time. The rapper released his last album “Music to Be Murdered By” in 2020. Next summer the wait will be over.
