Two inhabitants of the South-West pocket 1.5 million euros thanks to the scratch game

They had a happy hand. Two lovers of old stones have each won 1.5 million euros in the scratch game Heritage Mission, put on sale by La Française des Jeux since August 30th. These two inhabitants of the South-West had bought their tickets in Saint-Lys in Haute-Garonne and in Villeneuve-sur-Lot in Lot-et-Garonne.

“I wanted to combine the pleasure of the game and make a gesture for our national treasures”, explained the lucky winner of Lot-et-Garonne who participated for the first time in the system set up in 2018 to finance the restoration of monuments in danger. Thanks to her earnings, she will be able to buy a house in the south of France.

Already 17 million euros collected

The lucky woman from Haute-Garonne will start by paying for a car. Fan of history programs, “especially those of Stéphane Bern”, which carries the Heritage Mission, this neo-millionaire took advantage of her stay in Paris to pocket her prize and discover the French capital and its Eiffel Tower.

Since the launch of the scratch game a month ago, 17 million euros have already been collected for the benefit of the Heritage Foundation. In four years, the Heritage Mission has already been able to launch the restoration of 627 sites, of which 297 have now been saved.
