Peter Maffay becomes new coach at “The Voice of Germany”

With Peter Maffay, a real rock legend is involved in the next “The Voice of Germany” season. These are all coaches.
The coaches for the upcoming season of “The Voice of Germany” are officially set. German rock legend Peter Maffay will sit on one of the chairs, as ProSieben and Sat.1 have now announced. Stefanie Kloß, Rea Garvey and Mark Forster are returning alongside him.
Maffay “always admired” how many talents have already chosen the show as a career springboard, the musician explains in a press release. “I think it’s great that I might be able to help with this, together with my colleagues.” The 72-year-old is looking forward to “good music in good company and many interesting encounters”.
New moderation duo at “The Voice of Germany”
in the April became knownthat neither Johannes Oerding nor Nico Santos and Sarah Connor will be there as coaches in the coming season. Only Forster was previously considered set. The moderator Lena Gercke had also announcedto take a break. Instead, Melissa Khalaj will lead the show alongside Thore Schölermann. The two stations will alternately show the new episodes of “The Voice of Germany” on Thursdays and Fridays from August 2022.
