Six months closed for calling “to slit the throats” of the Macron couple in a letter

In his letter dated April 15, he called in particular to “cut the throats” of Emmanuel Macron and his wife. He had also made a photomontage with the head of the head of state on the end of a pike. In Le Mans, a 76-year-old man was sentenced to six months in prison for contempt and threatening to kill against the presidential couple, reports France Blue Maine.

“It’s a letter that can make you smile, seem harmless,” said the prosecutor, “but it concerns serious, extremely violent facts, reflecting hatred, with the intention that it will reach the presidential couple. »

According to the septuagenarian, this letter – which he never sent to the Elysée, but to his assistant at the CCAS in Le Mans – was a “cry for help” and was not malicious. His lawyer, reports France Bleu, underlined his client’s “dramatic situation”: financial difficulties, he is staying in a garage, waiting for social housing. The council announced that the septuagenarian planned to appeal.
