The shock after the turbulence on a flight from London to Singapore is deep for many of those affected. There were emotional scenes at the airport.

After the heavy ones Turbulence during a long-haul Singapore Airlines flight left one dead and dozens injured, 131 passengers and 12 crew members were brought to Singapore on a special flight. However, 79 passengers and several other crew members were still in Bangkok, where the plane made an emergency landing on its way from London to Singapore on Tuesday, said airline boss Goh Choon Phong. These are the injured people who are receiving medical care, as well as their relatives and friends who are traveling with them.

No further details were initially released about the condition of the injured. Emotional scenes took place at Changi Airport in Singapore when the special plane landed early in the morning (local time), the newspaper “Straits Times” reported.

The Boeing 777-300ER aircraft was carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members when it suddenly plummeted 6,000 feet (almost 2,000 meters) over the west coast of Myanmar. A 73-year-old Briton died, presumably of a heart attack. His wife and dozens of other people were injured, some seriously. Most of them were not wearing seat belts at the time of the sudden turbulence.
