Start of trial against Salman Rushdie’s alleged assassin postponed – culture

Since Salman Rushdie was attacked with a knife during an appearance at a literary festival in upstate New York in August 2022, the writer has been blind in one eye. The trial against the alleged perpetrator Hadi M. was supposed to begin on January 8th on charges of bodily harm and attempted murder. But nothing will come of it.
