Songül Akpinar does know about one case. After her appointment at the Munich immigration office, a young woman reported that it was the first time that a clerk in a German authority actually wanted to support her, made various offers of help and treated her well. “She was super happy,” says the chairwoman of the “Morgen” association, an umbrella organization of numerous Munich migration associations. Unfortunately, in her experience, this has been the exception so far.
