Kunstverein Ottobrunn opens two exhibitions – District of Munich

In Ottobrunn, art is in full bloom in the month of May. Or to put it another way: the Kunstverein Ottobrunn is opening two exhibitions in this first week of the so-called merry month. On the one hand, 20 members of the art association are showing various works that were created in 2021 or inspired by them from this Monday, May 2nd, in the town hall under the title “Last Year”. All of the works reflect “the love of freedom and the exuberant life,” as the exhibition announcement says.

The leitmotif for the exhibition in the “Treffpunkt Kunst”, the association’s gallery, is called “Sight axes”. From Thursday, May 4th, the Munich painter Sabine Ziegler is showing large-format watercolors of immense luminosity and colour. Also on display there are coudrage works by the textile artist Franziska Polzer-Foreman, works in a technique developed by the artist herself, which creates a relief of furrows and fringes, lines and colors. The vernissages will both take place on Friday, May 6th. They start at 6 p.m. in the Ottobrunn town hall and then at 7.30 p.m. in the gallery Treffen Kunst.
