In their push for a general compulsory vaccination, the Prime Ministers Winfried Kretschmann and Markus Söder mentioned the crucial point: “A compulsory vaccination is not a violation of civil liberties,” they write in the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. “Rather, it is the prerequisite for us to regain our freedom.” This argument already shows where the matter should ultimately be decided – with the guardian of German civil liberties, the Federal Constitutional Court.
