How young first-time voters want to vote in the European elections. – Bavaria

In the European elections on June 9, 16 and 17 year olds will be allowed to vote for the first time. All Bavarian parties pride themselves on knowing exactly what young people want and think. But is that really true? Four first-time voters talk about their ideas.

Youth and the European elections? Maria Noichl, Bavarian top candidate for the SPD, is talking herself into action. The grandmother of five says that it’s not true that Generation Z is “lazy” and that “they’re all no good.” She experiences “great young people who roll up their sleeves” – even if some have a different approach to work-life balance and “don’t want to work until they’re in the box.”
