Guingamp mosque targeted by racist tags

“The association has existed for almost 40 years and this is the first time that we have suffered such an act. » There was consternation this Friday morning among the members of the cultural association of Muslims of Guingamp (Côtes-d’Armor). During the night from Thursday to Friday, two hateful tags were painted on the facade and on a back door of the premises which serves as a mosque for the faithful of the region. On the main door, the racist inscription “Breton headdress, not the veil, outside” was notably tagged in black paint.

Not wishing to comment on this incident, the cultural association of Muslims of Guingamp immediately filed a complaint with the police station. The city’s socialist mayor Philippe Le Goff is expected at the mosque during the day.
