Unemployment in the district of Munich fell in March. The spring revival is accompanied by the phasing out of corona restrictions. According to information from the Employment Agency, 4,733 people in the district were unemployed in March. This was 203 people or 4.1 percent fewer than in the previous month. Compared to March 2021, 1624 fewer people have registered as unemployed. That’s more than a quarter. The unemployment rate fell by 0.2 percentage points to 2.4 percent. According to agency chairman Wilfried Hüntelmann, the war in Ukraine is not yet reflected in the figures. But be prepared. “For example, we put together a team of experts at short notice that explicitly takes care of the integration of the refugees into the labor market.” The demand for new workers has increased. In March, 3,817 job offers were received in the agency district, which includes the city and district of Munich, 910 more than in the same month last year. The unemployment rate in the state capital is 4.2 percent.
