The director launches into animation with this beautiful film adapted from the novel by Jean-Claude Grumberg. A baby whose parents were deported to Auschwitz is taken in by a courageous woodcutter in this moving tale. The Most Valuable of Goods touches with a generous message and superb graphics.

Jeremy Strong, who plays the latter, also has a good chance of being also distinguished for his performance.
