Could posting “not homemade” change your habits?

In an interview given to La Tribune Sunday, the Minister for SMEs and Commerce, Olivia Grégoire, calls for more transparency on the menus offered in restaurants. By 2025, she wants the country’s 175,000 restaurateurs to be obliged to clearly indicate on their menus which dishes are “homemade” and which are not.

The challenge, according to her, is to “protect the consumer, to defend restaurateurs who offer their customers dishes actually prepared on site, and to preserve national gastronomy”. Olivia Grégoire justifies this measure by the shortcomings observed with the rules in force: “The mention – optional – on the cards of “homemade”, a label created in 2014, is complicated and therefore remains little used”. Will this change anything for you? That interests us.

THE home made » Is a restaurant menu important to you? If the report of the dishes not homemade » is implemented, will this change your habits? Are you going to favor certain establishments over others? Or on the contrary, it won’t change anything: is it the location, the type of dishes or the price that matters most to you?
