Bayer Leverkusen has 16 points more than FC Bayern. The championship is just one step away for the factory club. You could even celebrate on the sofa.

After winning 1-0 at 1. FC Union Berlin, Bayer Leverkusen is on the verge of winning the first football championship in the club’s history. Thanks to pursuers FC Bayern’s 2-3 win against promoted team 1. FC Heidenheim, the factory club can secure the title on their own next weekend – but Bayer could celebrate even earlier. With six match days still remaining, 18 points are still up for grabs per team.

Leverkusen will be crowned champions on matchday 29 of the Bundesliga if…

…Bayern lose their home game against 1. FC Köln on April 13th.

…If Bayern wins, Bayer will win its own home game against Werder Bremen on April 14th.

…Bayern get a maximum of one point against Cologne and Bayer doesn’t lose against Bremen the next day.
