FC Bayern cannot be stopped by the strong SC Freiburg, the Munich team defend the championship lead. Lukas Nmecha is celebrating great days in Wolfsburg, and thousands of fans at Bielefeld are looking forward to their first win of the season.

FC Bayern is heading into the international break as the league leader. The German soccer record champions won the top match in the Bundesliga on Saturday against third SC Freiburg 2-1 (1-0) and initially increased their lead over Borussia Dortmund to four points. BVB plays in the evening (6.30 p.m. / Sky) at RB Leipzig. At least for the time being in fourth place, VfL Wolfsburg jumped 1-0 (1-0) against FC Augsburg.

Arminia Bielefeld achieved her first win of the season with a 1-0 (1-0) win at injury-stricken VfB Stuttgart on the eleventh match day. VfL Bochum won against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim 2-0 (1-0) and climbed to 12th place.

In Munich an even game developed initially. The Breisgauer held against the record champions well in the first half hour. Leon Goretzka (30th) then gave Bayern the lead, Thomas Müller made his eighth assist this season.

Munich leaves chances and still sets a goal record

Bayern’s 39th goal was a record – no team has scored as often in the first eleven match days. Both teams missed chances after the break before Robert Lewandowski (75th) scored his 13th goal of the season. The world footballer was thus directly involved in at least one goal in each of his last 16 league home games. Freiburg received their first defeat of the season, despite Janik Haberer’s late goal (90 + 3).

Wolfsburg took the lead through Lukas Nmecha (14th), who was appointed to the national team for the first time on Friday. Masaya Okugawa (19th) scored for Bielefeld in Stuttgart after a counterattack. Arminia had come to the start of the league with the mortgage of ten games without a win.

In Bochum, Soma Novothny (66th), who had just been substituted, celebrated his opening goal, which was initially checked with video evidence in preparation for suspected offside. After a foul by Hoffenheim’s Florian Grillitsch in the penalty area, Bochum had a great chance for the second goal – but VfL goalkeeper Manuel Riemann (75th) missed. Milos Pantovic scored 2-0 in stoppage time
