Brandenburg: Tesla wants to build a million cars in the future – criticism from environmentalists – economy

Tesla wants to massively expand its automobile production in Brandenburg and manufacture one million vehicles there every year. The approximately 11,000 employees of the US company at the Grünheide plant currently produce around 5,000 Model Y cars per week, which works out to 250,000 vehicles per year. Originally the factory was designed for 500,000. According to the company’s new plans, the number of employees is to be doubled in the next few years. As of today, Tesla would become the largest car manufacturer in Germany with the expansion.
