Some Italians are concerned that Giorgia Meloni’s Fratelli d’Italia party won the elections at home. However, the town partnerships should not suffer from politics.

Italy has voted, and a delegation from Ottobrunn actually wanted to go to Margreid this weekend to find out personally from friends in the twin town in South Tyrol what they think of the election result. However, the Ottobrunn partnership officer Andrea Seeböck had to cancel the trip because some of the participants, including Mayor Thomas Loderer, had a bad cold. Seeböck now wants to go to the Thanksgiving Festival instead. “Our partnership, which has grown over the past 50 years, has nothing to do with politics and will not be negatively influenced by the election result,” says the Ottobrunn native with determination.
