A heavy goods vehicle caught fire on the ring road, near Porte d’Asnières, this Thursday late in the afternoon. It was a little after 5 p.m. that the truck stopped in the right lane of the ring road as thick smoke emerged from the cabin.
The police and firefighters intervened quickly to block traffic, for some, and to stop the fire for others. The fire quickly spread throughout the cabin, completely charring it and attacking the front of the trailer full of merchandise.
The driver was able to get out in time
Fortunately, the Paris firefighters managed to quickly contain the flames and finally put it out at 6 p.m. A police source on site indicates that the driver was able to escape from his vehicle in time and came out unharmed. Information confirmed by the Paris Fire Brigade.
Traffic has resumed, on one lane, and should take several hours before being fully restored.
