At least four people were killed when a building collapsed on Playa de Palma in Mallorca. There were also around 30 injured, the emergency services on the Spanish holiday island said.
The collapsed building is said to be the restaurant building of a beach club. “Initial investigations indicate that the first floor of the building collapsed and with it the ground floor, which could not support the weight, so both floors eventually collapsed into the basement,” writes the newspaper Mallorca Daily.
