Haar – day care center in the Art Nouveau Park goes into operation – district of Munich

The construction noise fades away, but children’s voices can now be heard in the new large house for children in the Art Nouveau Park. The day-care center on Edith-Hecht-Strasse, which is operated by the municipality of Haar, has been completed. Mayor Andreas Bukowski (CSU) reported completion to the building committee of the municipal council. City councilors plan to visit the building soon. Photovoltaic modules also have to be screwed onto the roof, which were ordered exactly a year ago but have only just been delivered. The children’s day-care center with an inclusive offer resides at an address with great symbolic power. The Art Nouveau park was once part of the area of the Isar-Amper-Klinikum, where many psychiatric patients were murdered during the Nazi regime as part of the “euthanasia” program. Edith Hecht was one of the victims. She died at the age of 13 one day before Christmas Eve 1944 in what was then the sanatorium and nursing home from an ordered drug overdose.
