Zoë Kravitz plays Catwoman in The Batman. In a new interview, she tells how hard she had to work for it.

Zoë Kravitz (33) will soon be seen in the cinemas alongside Robert Pattinson (35) in the new superhero film “The Batman”. She trained so hard for the role of Catwoman that she appears to be in the best shape of her life. “Obviously you want to look good in a catsuit, but I wanted it to be realistic that I could do anything in this film,” explains the actress in an interview with the fashion magazine “Elle”.

“That’s why I had to be strong,” she continues. “I got stronger than I’ve ever been. It felt good to see how capable I am.” That also gave her self-confidence. But she had to put strenuous days behind her. After about eight hours on the set, she always trained for three hours at home.

No children her age?

But that doesn’t mean that she can’t enjoy her days either because of her work or because of her age. “I have so much time,” everyone thinks before a gynecologist suddenly asks if a woman wants to freeze her eggs. “I didn’t even think about that,” was her reply. She doesn’t feel compelled to have children by a certain point in time – if she will have any at all.

For a short time, Kravitz came up with the idea that fun is for children, that at 30 you have to be an adult and have children of your own. However, she soon discarded this idea. She still wants to “go on adventures, have fun nights and see the sunrise”. The 33-year-old speaks of an “interesting journey to remember that there is no finish line that I have to reach in a certain time”. She hopes to be playful and mischievous when she is 70, because the meaning of life is “to experience life and to play with it”.

The new superhero epic “The Batman” hits theaters on March 3rd. Kravitz stars in it alongside Robert Pattinson, Colin Farrell (45) and Andy Serkis (57).
