An investigation into “voluntary homicide” was opened after the discovery of the body of a woman born in 1980 in a hotel room on Saturday in Paris, the prosecution said on Sunday, confirming information from the Parisian. The body presented “an unexplained wound”, underlined the prosecution.
According to the daily, the woman had a wound on her neck and no “piercing” weapon was discovered in the hotel room. Traces of blood were found on the walls and floor of the room. It was an employee who came to clean on Saturday around 1 p.m. who discovered the body.
The victim had been a hotel guest for a week
The victim had been a customer for, a priori, almost a week at this hotel located between the Porte de Clichy and the Clichy-Batignolles park, in the 17th arrondissement of Paris, again according to the newspaper.
The murder investigation, entrusted to the 1st judicial police district, “will aim to determine the circumstances of this death”, added the prosecution. In particular, an autopsy must be carried out.
