With a height of 25 meters, the tallest tower in the world in Kapla sends wood

The record for the tallest tower in the world in Kapla has just been shattered. The brand, born in Gironde and based in Saint-Louis-de-Montferrand north of Bordeaux, has just announced the construction of a 25-meter high tower using… 96,400 wooden planks.

The feat was accomplished “by a team of Kapla enthusiasts” made up of fifteen builders from around the world, in London. The previous record dates back to June 2021 in Mulhouse, when four scouts achieved a tower of 18.67 meters.

This time, it took ingenuity and equipment such as lifting platforms to achieve this feat.

Each year, 80 million pine planks are sold in some forty countries, and the turnover of the company, created by Tom van der Bruggen in 1987, has now reached eight million euros.
