Bavaria’s Minister of Art Markus Blume (CSU) is a man with childlike visions. According to Bayerischer Rundfunk, he recently said about the Richard Wagner Festival in Bayreuth, which will end next Monday: “Bayreuth simply has to inspire. You have to go there and have the feeling that you’ve enjoyed an evening that you can’t get anywhere else presented to the world.” So now everyone could also moderate their expectations of an upcoming visit to the Wiesn, despite the shamed beer prices. But Markus Blume certainly has this year’s Bayreuth “Tannhäuser” in mind with his statement, maybe even “Parsifal” with AR glasses.
