White march in Romans-sur-Isère from 1:30 p.m. in tribute to the 16-year-old high school student

As the investigation progresses, the town of Romans-sur-Isère in Drôme is due to host a white march this Wednesday in tribute to Thomas. This 16-year-old high school student was fatally injured during the night from Saturday to Sunday in the neighboring village of Crépol.

Organized by the family, this march must leave at 1:30 p.m. from the Dauphiné high school, where the teenager studied, to end at the Albert-Donnadieu stadium, detailed Thomas’ rugby club, RC Romans-Péage, on its Facebook account. .

An “apolitical” march

“This gathering is intended to be apolitical out of respect for the family,” specifies this message while the far right and part of the right have seized on the drama by associating insecurity and immigration.

Nine suspects were arrested Tuesday as part of the investigation opened for “murder” and “attempted murders by an organized gang”, according to the Valencia prosecutor. “Formally designated as the perpetrator of the fatal stabbing” and arrested, the main suspect is a 20-year-old young man who lives in “the center” of Romans-sur-Isère and “not the Monnaie district,” said Laurent de Caigny in a press release.

Seven of the suspects, “closely monitored”, were arrested in the Toulouse region, after fleeing their home. Two others were in the Romans-sur-Isère area.
