“We want to carry the message of hope of”Seule”beyond borders”, confide the Soa

The general public got to know them two years ago in The Voice. Nathan, 19, and his 22-year-old big sister, LudySoa, from Toulouse, had achieved the TF1 telecrochet knockouts. The duo, baptized Soa, returns to a new (peaceful) ring, that ofEurovision France, you decide, the French selection for Eurovision. While waiting for the show, broadcast live on Saturday from 9:05 p.m. on France 2, the two young artists, who are among the favorites, answered questions from 20 minutes.

What has been your musical journey since “The Voice”?

Nathan: We made it to the quarter-finals. When we got out, Pascal Obispo kept in touch with us so that we could record our songs. We signed with the Jo & Co label last year. And we applied for Eurovision France with Alone. We are very proud.
LudySoa: The idea came from our mother [qui est leur manageuse]. She had submitted the idea to us and we talked about it to the label who played the game.

You two wrote your song, “Alone”?

NOT. : We wrote everything together. The chorus is for anyone who may feel lonely. It’s a song that can help a lot of people and we wanted to share that message across borders. It would be great to wear it to Eurovision.
I. : This is a very big message of hope.

Since the formalization of your song, at the beginning of February, the returns have been very enthusiastic…

NOT. : We find it beautiful. The song is in French, but non-French speakers remember the chorus. On YouTube, there are videos of people filming themselves reacting to listening to Alone. We are very happy with the feedback, very proud!

Does that put pressure on you for Saturday?

I. : We feel no stress. We’re just super excited to present the show we’ve prepared. It’s going to be total fun.
NOT. : There is only positive, no pressure. We keep the surprise, but it will be huge!

What does Eurovision represent for you?

I. : Eurovision has always been a dream. I have been watching the contest since Amir’s participation in 2016 and I follow the Junior editions too. It’s an honor to be among the finalists of the French selection… Why not win it?

You are brother and sister, does that help you to manage the pressure of such an issue?

N.: Being together is our asset. We don’t necessarily feel any pressure, we get along well, we support each other. We give ourselves strength.
