Siemens – Nobody wants the four-day week – Economy

Human resources manager Judith Wiese is responsible for around 320,000 Siemens employees and receives more than four million applications a year. She says that Germany cannot afford shorter working hours.

Judith Wiese, 53, has a very nice office – a desk above the rooftops of Munich, so to speak. But since she is responsible for human resources on the Siemens board, the good city center location may not be the only reason for her to come to the office almost every day. It’s about more than 320,000 people at Siemens – and the question of how we want to work in the future.
