Video: Somalia’s President – At least 100 dead in attacks

STORY: At least 100 people were killed and 300 others injured by two car bombs in the Somali capital Mogadishu on Saturday. This was announced by the country’s President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, on Sunday. He fears the death toll could rise. Women, children and students were among the victims, the president said in a statement. The first blast hit the Ministry of Education near a busy intersection, the second car bomb went off as ambulances arrived and people gathered to help the victims. The President blamed the radical Islamic militia Al-Shabaab for the attack. Almost 600 people were killed in an attack at the same intersection in October 2017.
