The Federal Court of Justice, BGH, in Karlsruhe is reviewing the judgment on an NSU helper who was convicted in 2018. The trial took place on Thursday. Andre E., now 42, was sentenced to two and a half years in prison by the Munich Higher Regional Court in 2018 for supporting a terrorist organization. However, the convicted and the federal public prosecutor’s office went on appeal, with the convicted hoping for an acquittal, while the prosecutors demand a much higher sentence. For more than five years, the Munich Higher Regional Court tried to solve ten murders of men of Turkish and Greek origin and a female police officer, as well as two bomb attacks carried out by the NSU. The highest criminal judge of the BGH is expected to announce a decision on December 15th.
