Video: More than 14,000 barrels of crude oil spilled in pipeline leak

STORY: Over the past few days, more than 14,000 barrels of crude oil have spilled out of an oil pipeline leak in the US state of Kansas. It is the largest pipeline disaster in the United States in nearly a decade, officials said. Large parts of the oil had flowed into a river. According to the local authorities, the oil slick neither threatened the local water supply nor did the residents have to be evacuated. Workers have laid barriers to prevent the oil from spreading any further. The affected Keystone pipeline has been shut down since Wednesday. It was the third spill of several thousand barrels of crude oil from the pipeline since it opened in 2010. Investigators are trying to figure out what caused the leak.
