This is likely to pave the way for a change of government in favor of opposition leader Donald Tusk. The House of Representatives could now award the task of forming a government to Tusk from the liberal-conservative electoral alliance Citizens Coalition during the course of Monday. Its three-party alliance, together with the Third Way and the New Left, has had a majority in parliament since the election on October 15th.
