Video: Good idea: rain cabin in LA

STORY: People in Los Angeles are more used to sunny and hot weather. Rain is mostly foreign to them. But for a brief moment recently, on a city beach in LA, they were able to pretend they were in Seattle. A city known for its copious rainfall. The background was an action by the Washington State Tourist Office, for which a rain cabin had been set up. Ali Daniels directs this curious project: “It’s a beautiful, sunny, hot day in Venice Beach. And we’ve brought some refreshing Seattle rain. So we’re inviting everyone to the Seattle Rain Booth to cool off and get some of of the Seattle romance that comes with the rain.” Participants in the campaign received a free photo of their rainy experience. And the cabin is set to travel to other hot spots in the US. Next stop is the Arizona desert.
