STORY: Several people died in severe flooding in Malaysia. Almost 40,000 people had to leave their homes because of the floods in the state of Johor, the authorities said on Saturday. Flooding is commonplace in Malaysia during the annual monsoon season between October and March. While Johor, which borders Singapore, is among the worst-hit states, flooding has also displaced hundreds of people in other regions.
