Animal shelter uses zodiac signs to mediate

Many people who want to offer a four-legged friend a new home from the animal shelter ask themselves which partner there really suits them. Not an easy question to answer because often not much is known at the shelter about the candidates’ previous lives. In the “Wags and Walks” adoption center, translated as “Wedeln und Gassi”, they have teamed up with a website developer in order to use the animal’s zodiac sign to search for a “match” with a mistress in addition to the known characteristics of an animal. Ariana Howell from Wags and Walks. “That’s Blossom. She’s a Taurus. She’s very reliable, consistent and doesn’t like long walks. That’s Ruby. She’s a Virgo. She’s very sweet and also walks very well on a leash. And then here we have Artie, he’s Aries. He’s active and energetic and has a great personality. ” Even those who do not believe that their fate is predetermined by star constellations can benefit from dog zodiac signs, says Ashley Calame of the website developer Squarespace. “Compatibility is an important factor when it comes to pairing a pet with a foster parent. And what better way to depict compatibility than with astrological signs? It’s a fun way that people can find out which pet by their zodiac sign best suits them. ” At least the success proves “Wags and Walks” right. Since the website was launched in mid-October, the number of applications submitted to the shelter has increased by 20 percent.
