STORY: A fire burned to the ground a large church in Burlington, New Jersey, on Monday. More than 100 firefighters and rescue workers were deployed. Due to the size of the building, it was necessary to switch to defensive use, according to the operations manager. It was not initially clear whether an adjacent school building could be saved. The fire in the Fountain of Life Center broke out in the early evening, according to local broadcasters. Plumes of dark smoke could be seen for miles around.
