Ukraine war: “nuclear power plant practically impregnable as a military fortress”

Watch the video: military expert Thomas Wiegold on the problems at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant.

Vivian Bahlmann talks to Thomas Wiegold, military expert, journalist and blogger: We talk about the nuclear power plant in Zaporizhia, which is said to have been shut down in an emergency. “However, it shouldn’t be a critical situation, because there is an emergency power supply.”
On the development of the front, Wiegold says: “There is no real progress anywhere. There are small gains in territory, in the east on the Russian side, but the course of the front has become very immobile in the past few days and weeks.” Neither side has the capacity to advance. “At the moment Ukraine seems to be able to stop the further Russian advance,” but Ukraine has now announced the goal: “We think much bigger, we don’t just want to stop the advance, we want to recapture territory – up to the Crimea annexed by Russia since 2014.’
