Terrible drama this Monday at the start of the evening in the 2nd arrondissement.
Two minors, a young girl and a young man, lost their lives in a scooter accident. The victims were traveling on the same machine when they were hit on the Quai Maréchal-Joffre by a private ambulance which was going to intervene.
The two young people were on a lane reserved for buses and two-wheelers, reports Progress. The shock was extremely violent. The victims, in cardio-respiratory arrest, died despite the rapid intervention of the firefighters.
The two paramedics were taken care of in shock. The vehicle was not carrying anyone at the time of the tragedy.
An investigation has been opened to determine the exact circumstances of this collision. The scientific police were still on the spot in the evening.
A terrible accident had already taken place a few months ago on the Quai Maréchal-Joffre; a collision between a bicycle and a scooter killed one person last March.
