Two firefighters plunge into icy water to rescue a motorist

An act of heroism that almost ended badly. This Friday morning, firefighters from Douai, in the North, had to intervene to save a 19-year-old young woman, the victim of an accident and trapped in the passenger compartment of her car, tell The voice of the North. His days no longer seemed in danger

The car, a Fiat 500, threatened to sink into the water, two firefighters dove in to rescue the driver. It was a woman suffering from hypothermia that one of the firefighters was able to get out through the trunk, before realizing that his colleague had not come back up.

The 30-year-old man was finally recovered, also suffering from hypothermia. Taken care of by the fire ambulance, his life no longer seemed to be in danger. The other firefighter and the victim were also transported to the hospital.
