Two boxers, including former world champion Mehdi Sahnoune, save a man from drowning

No matter the rough seas, the wind or the freezing cold. Sunday afternoon, at Pointe-Rouge, in Marseille, two men dove into the Mediterranean to rescue a man of a certain age, reports Provence. These two heroes are Yohann Drai (boxer, former diver and windsurfer) and Mehdi Sahnoune (former WBA light heavyweight world champion).

The alert was given by a friend of Yohann Drai, who came for reinforcement when she saw that a man was in bad shape in the water. The two men did not hesitate and rushed towards the unfortunate man. To ensure their safety, Yohann Drai and Mehdi Sahnoune roped themselves to a piece of mooring and threw themselves into the water in their underwear, reports the daily.

“He was hypothermic, he didn’t have a suit, his eyes looked black-orange, he was exhausted. Just after the rocks, he let go of me, we had to retrieve him again,” explains Yohann Drai, interviewed by Provence. Finally arriving on the beach, the victim was taken care of by the emergency services.
