“His clumsy look and his little face will be greatly missed. The teams of the Trégomeur zoological park in the Côtes-d’Armor are in mourning after the death on Sunday of Tedy, a 28-year-old sun bear. Zoo mascot, the animal succumbed to a stroke which started on the night of Friday to Saturday, indicates the park on his Facebook page.
The sun bear was born in 1995 at the Olomouc zoo in the Czech Republic, he then joined the Frankfurt zoo in Germany before landing in Brittany thirteen years ago. “All the teams are therefore particularly affected by his disappearance”, underlines the management of the zoological park.
