There should be no trial for the attack on the Saint-Charles train station in Marseille. According to our colleagues from France Inter and
Provence, Anis Hanachi, the brother of the author of this attack, shot in the wake, has just been dismissed.
He was the target of an investigation that began more than three years ago for “criminal association with a view to committing crimes against persons”.
He was suspected of having gone to Syria between 2013 and 2014, and he was criticized in particular for his ideology of armed jihad as well as his presence in Toulon just before the attack, before leaving the day after the tragedy in Italy. Where he will be arrested a few days later.
The civil parties will appeal
The lawyer for the civil parties, Béatrice Dubreuil will appeal against this order, which will either have to confirm it or refer Anis Hanachi to a special Assize Court.
