Actor Thomas Drechsel says goodbye to “GZSZ” after 15 years. The last episode with him will be airing soon.

Actor Thomas Drechsel (36) is leaving the RTL series “Good Times, Bad Times” after 15 years. The broadcaster announced this. As Max “Tuner” Krüger, he has helped shape the “GZSZ” neighborhood since April 2009. During this time, his role rose from gang member to bar owner, and eventually he even became a millionaire. From the supporting role he made it into the main cast.

The 36-year-old is currently said to be on his last days of filming for the series. Viewers will then have to say goodbye to Tuner on the screen in the spring, then, according to the report, the last “GZSZ” episode with him can be seen.

“GZSZ will always remain a part of me”

Thomas Drechsel explains his departure in an RTL interview: “These 15 years were a very formative time in my life. Even if I would have liked to stay another 15 years, I can understand that the cast changes and the characters’ stories change at some point once told.” The actor adds: “GZSZ will always remain a part of me.”

Drechsel also revealed that what he will miss most is “the morning hugs and the crew.” It’s not a normal job “that I went to for 15 years,” said the actor: “It’s like coming home. Every handshake, every kiss feels good. Let’s face it – I have the boys and girls Seen more often than my best friends.”

Thomas Drechsel was discovered as a teenager

Thomas Drechsel, who comes from Berlin, has been in front of the camera since he was twelve years old. He was seen, among other things, in the feature film “Elementarparticles” (2006). In 2015 he was also a candidate on “Let’s Dance” and reached fifth place on the dance show.

He could imagine a comeback in a daily format after his “GZSZ” farewell, as he continued to tell RTL: “It’s great to grow with a role over the years.”
