The Vosges and Meurthe-et-Moselle placed on orange alert for “floods”, recession started in Pas-de-Calais

Ten departments are placed on orange alert this Thursday afternoon by Météo-France for “violent wind” or “floods”. After Pas-de-Calais, Nord, Vendée and Charente-Maritime, the departments of Meurthe-et-Moselle and Vosges are in turn placed on orange alert for “floods”. On its announcement bulletin, Météo-France lists the possible consequences: “electricity and telephone outages may affect distribution networks” and “road traffic may be disrupted”.

The decline begins in Pas-de-Calais

Furthermore, Vigicrues reports “ significant precipitation in the watershed of Meurthe”. The Var, Haute-Corse and the Alpes-Maritimes will be placed on orange wind vigilance from 9 p.m.

The passage of depression Frederico over the country implies “a significant strengthening of the wind, in particular in the Massif Central”, specified Météo-France, which predicts a calm and a downgrade to yellow vigilance at 9 p.m. for Puy-de- Dome.

In Pas-de-Calais, which seems relatively spared by the Frederico depression, the decline is beginning. Several rivers have stabilized at a relatively low level and the forecast for Friday gives hope for continued improvement.
