The Voice – “It’s getting annoying”, “We’re really too bored”, “Only depressing music”, “It’s soft”, “Even in a retirement home it doesn’t move anymore”: the evening of battles despairs the fans of the show

The noose is tightening in The Voice! During last week’s episode, broadcast on TF1 on Saturday March 30, 2024, the last blind auditions of this season 13 once again made fans of the talent show react. As a reminder, this year, the production of The Voice set up a parallel competition with, as a mystery coach, Camille Lellouche. In the shadows, the singer thus selected talents who were not chosen by the jury, made up of Zazie, Vianney, Bigflo & Oli, and Mika. And this Saturday, April 6, 2024, it’s time for the first evening of The Voice battles, the show still being presented by the irreplaceable Nikos Aliagas!

And for this evening of battles, the coaches of The Voice have rediscovered the famous rule of Stolen Talent. If they consider that the talent who is not saved by his coach at the end of a battle deserves to stay in the competition, the other coaches can press the red button and save him! A rule that could have given rhythm to the evening. But for Internet users, this was not enough, and on X, boredom gripped fans of The Voice.

“We’re falling asleep!”

For the first battle, Zazie sat on the red chair, moved for the occasion on stage, very close to the talents who were opposing each other at the start of the evening: Ninon and Shanys. A few centimeters from their coach, the two young women took up the title of Juliette Armanet, “Save my life”. At the end of this face-to-face, Zazie chose to save Shanys. A few minutes later, a second battle pitted two talents from Mika’s team against each other: Gabriel Lobao and Rouslann.

For these two delicate and poetic voices, Mika had chosen the cult song by Michel Polnareff, “Love me, please love me”. And it was ultimately Gabriel Lobao who was able to do well. Then, the evening continued in the register of soft songs with “Bravo tu as rien” by Mireille Mathieu, performed by Alphonse and Ambre. If their coach Zazie chose to keep Alphonse in his team, Ambre was lucky to be drafted by Mika. But that was not the subject on the Web side.

Indeed, on X, these first three battles played with the patience of Internet users. For many fans of The Voice, the production probably did not pull out all the stops for this stage of the battles. First there are the choice of songs, too sentimental for some, who regret the dusty aspect of The Voice’s repertoire. Others, for their part, deplored the level of interpretation of the candidates during these face-to-face meetings, regretting a time when the candidates faced each other aggressively in the middle of a ring set up specially for the competition. battles. In short: this Saturday evening, Internet users were completely bored…
