Two Ukrainian citizens were stabbed in front of a shopping center in Murnau (Bavaria). The police are investigating suspected double murder.

The investigation is ongoing. An autopsy of the victims should provide clarity.

Two Ukrainian soldiers stabbed in Bavaria

Update from April 28th, 10:20 p.m.: The two men killed in Murnau, Bavaria (23 and 36 years old) were two soldiers from Ukraine. As part of the search, the 57-year-old suspect was caught very quickly. The officers discovered him at his home address near the crime scene. He is known to the police, they say.

However, the background to the crime is completely unclear; a connection to the war in Ukraine cannot currently be established. The police were initially unable to say whether the three men knew each other. “We are still at the very beginning of the investigation,” said police spokesman Daniel Katz.

Suspected double murder in Murnau: victims die from stab wounds

According to police, the victims are two men aged 23 and 36, both in… Garmisch-Partenkirchen district lived. They died of stab wounds – the older of the two directly at the crime scene, the younger one a short time later in a hospital.
