France falls below the 4,800 mark. In total on Tuesday, there were 4,743 people in critical care services (which include resuscitation, intensive care and continuous monitoring), according to figures from Public health France published Tuesday. The day before, they were 4,870.

In twenty-four hours, 285 new patients with severe forms of Covid were admitted to intensive care units, against 265 the day before. 236 people were killed by the disease, against 293 the day before.

Slight increase in hospitalizations in 24 hours

This indicator, monitored very closely by the health authorities, is moving further away from the 6,000 patient mark exceeded on April 26 and the peak of the first wave of spring 2020 (around 7,000 patients).

The total number of hospitalized Covid-19 patients is down slightly to 25,028 against 25,666 on Monday. These are 1,239 people who have been hospitalized in the last twenty-four hours against 1,125 the day before.
