The Assembly’s Law Committee adopted the government’s immigration bill, partly rewritten after its adoption in the Senate, by 35 votes to 16 on the night of Friday to Saturday.
The deputies of the presidential camp, the independent Liot group and the LR deputy of Mayotte Mansour Kamardine voted for. The left, the RN and an LR deputy voted against. The text must be examined in public session from December 11, the presidential camp hoping to count on votes from the right and the independent Liot group to obtain adoption in the Assembly.
“It’s a great satisfaction. The Government will continue to listen to convince,” reacted Gérald Darmanin on X, who hopes for adoption without going through 49.3.
